Last Monday I had the pleasure of speaking to the "Joint Undergraduate Mathematics and SIAM Chapter Seminar" at UMASS Dartmouth. SIAM is the Society for Industrial and Applied Math. There were about 25 students that listened to my one hour presentation on land surveying and the various math applications that we get to use on a daily basis.
