Donald T. Poole PLS #32662 MA has 25 years of experience working as a Land Surveyor on Cape Cod and the Islands. This includes the Elizabeth Islands as well as some selected of Cape sites such as Waltham, Danvers, and Brockton.
Mr. Poole started in the profession in 1979 in Nashville TN. He worked in the "south" eventually obtaining licensees in Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia. In 1983 Mr. Poole decided to return to Cape Cod where he found employment at Nickerson and Berger a old and reputable surveying firm in Orleans. Nickerson and Berger was soon purchased and merged with Coastal Engineering Company, Inc. Mr Poole enjoyed an 18 year career at CEC before opening Outermost Land Survey, Inc. (OLS) Mr. Poole's interest in land surveying, boundary determination, and tidal issues was the primary reason for the creation of OLS and the departure from CEC.
Since the opening of OLS in 2002 the company has been involved with a number of significant projects such as the World Headquarters of Polaroid in Waltham, numerous project with the town's of Orleans, Brewster, Chatham, Harwich, and Dennis. We have also provided expert witness testimony on the location of property rights in the inter-tidal zone, easement and access issues, and boundary line determination and location. Most of these cases were tried in the Land Court, but occasionally there is a Superior Court trial.
